The Donation Pick up and Driver associate is responsible for picking up donations, loading/unloading of donations. As the face of the organization in the community, associates are always expected to exemplify Habitat's core values and ensure that donors receive a positive experience. Additionally, this position works within the ReStore processing merchandise, assisting customers, and all other tasks needed to support ReStore operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Operate box truck in a manner that is in compliance with all DOT, State, and Federal laws and regulations.

Always provide excellent customer service

Provide every donor with an accurate tax receipt

Oversee and direct truck helper in donor services and safety.

Maintain consistent and appropriate communication with Store Manager.

Understand and enforce the guidelines for acceptable donations.

Inspect vehicle daily for proper operation and safety, maintaining a clean and professional looking truck.

Proper handling of all donation items to ensure safety and reduce damage.

Strive to exceed daily production goals with the store team.

Promote a safe and harmonious work environment.

Comply and abide by all Lakeway Area Habitat for Humanity and Habitat International Policies.

All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Experience driving a box or delivery truck
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean DMV record.
• Class C endorsement a plus, but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
