Peoples Academy is seeking to hire a Deaf/Blind intervener to join our student services special education team to work full-time in one school. Working under the direction of the students case manager and special educator, as well as other individual responsible for ensuring implementation of a student's IEP, an interveners primary roles are to: -Facilitate the development and maintenance of trusting, interactive relationships that promote social and emotional well-being-Provide primary access to the receptive and expressive development and communication skills. -Identify and maximize the opportunities for further educational progress and overall development (i.e., motor, sensory, social/emotional).-Work with a variety of team members from PT, OT, sign instructor, TVI specialist, O&M specialist- Personal care is also a requirement Please submit a letter of interest and resume via SchoolSpring or by email to megan.herman@lamoillesouth.org
