Our Digital Retail team is aimed to serve the individual e-commerce consumer in search of design inspiration, as well as the trade professional seeking a reliable and resourceful lighting partner. Our Illuminate team partners with architects, interior designers, and multi-unit developers to create meaningful experiences through lighting and design. About the Role: 

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of the supply chain, including order management and customer service. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in streamlining these key supply chain functions to ensure the seamless flow of products from order placement to final delivery. 

The ideal candidate is someone who excels at taking initiative and being proactive, is continuously looking for ways to develop and improve business processes and relationships, and someone who embraces and thrives on change, and easily adapts to evolving priorities. This is an entry-level opportunity.

Initial Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound and outbound communication channels with e-commerce customers (phone, email, chat)
  • Manage all vendor communication regarding order management, pricing, logistics
  • Manage e-commerce order fulfillment from time of placement to delivery
  • Provide order support and design guidance to e-commerce customers looking for assistance with delivery, product issues, and style recommendations 
  • Identify potential areas of process improvement and work with Operations and Technology teams to implement changes
  • Monitor customer feedback on site content and work with Product and Operations teams to improve user experience
  • As the selected candidate becomes proficient in managing workload and grasping the business, they will be empowered to assume additional responsibilities
  • This is a hybrid position, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 to 3 years experience in client-facing design, operations, vendor management, client relations or customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Consumer-driven, ensuring a best-in-class user experience
  • Ideally some background or experience in design
  • Exhibits competence and professionalism when dealing with internal and external partners
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve
  • Organized and proficient at managing workload and prioritization of activities
