Lampton Welding Supply is Hiring a Beverage specialist Near Wichita, KS

Position Description :

The primary duty of the Beverage Gas Specialist is to : Serve, grow, enhance and protect Lampton business.

Its critical to build strong relationships with, and work very closely with, Lampton customers. Strong and consistent collaboration with the entire Lampton sales team and sales leadership is required.

Specific desired outcomes are to : Expand overall beverage gas sales, continuously improve overall beverage gas margins, introduce and sell beverage gas products, secure beverage gas business with long term supply agreements, expand the Lampton beverage gas profile, while taking excellent care of our expanding beverage customer base.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Essential

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both potential and existing customers, serving their various beverage gas needs, and calling on them with consistency, as required.
  • Understand and be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of beverage gas products we sell (features and benefits).
  • Consistently review and report on sales calls, sales outcomes and sales opportunities to the Executive VP of Sales.
  • Create an annual beverage gas sales plan to improve the business in four key areas : (serve, grow, enhance and protect)
  • Maintain a specified minimum level of margin for the beverage gas business portfolio.
  • Consistently present beverage gas products and beverage gas solutions to competitive accounts and existing accounts where appropriate.
  • Work closely with other product specialists as appropriate.
  • Understand the nature and strength of the competitive business forces within the markets served, and act accordingly to defend Lampton business.
  • Secure Lampton business through the use of product supply agreements. Help support and communicate price increases to the beverage customer base, as needed.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and work closely with key beverage gas and key beverage product vendor partners.
  • Continuously work to sell the products which align Lampton with key vendor partners and deliver the highest level of margin.
  • Collect and maintain a roster of beverage gas customers digital contact information.
  • Collect and maintain a roster of beverage gas customers target information.
  • Support industry shows, training seminars, or other local area events as deemed valuable for the beverage gas sales portfolio.
  • Report critical beverage gas sales events (major wins, major losses, substantial competitive threats, sizeable opportunities) to the Executive VP of Sales.
  • Attend appropriate product, skills, and industry trainings, as deemed valuable and appropriate.
  • Maintain excellence in the area of operational discipline regarding all safety practices; follow all company safety policies.
  • Work closely with the supporting cast for beverage gas products, including but not limited to : supply agreement manager, bulk route manager (or supplier), pricing manager, and others where applicable.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and electronic reporting, as required.
  • Meet or exceed the annual sales objectives in beverage gas categories.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or needed.
  • Adhere to all established procedures and policies.

  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
  • Detail oriented
  • Bilingual skills a plus
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, etc.)

Previous beverage gas sales experience and product management is preferred

Education or Experience Required :

High school graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred

License or Certificate Required :
