SONOGRAPHER POSITION

Job Duties

• Performs all requested sonography examinations as ordered by the physician
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and work area
• Prepare preliminary reports according to established procedures.
• Coordinates with other staff to provide appropriate patient care.

Qualifications/Education

• Graduation from a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required.
• OB/GYN credentialed by the ARDMS. If eligible but not registered at the time of employment, the employee should achieve registration within one year of the hire date.
• Nuchal translucency and nasal bone certification are preferred but not required. If not certified at the time of employment, the employee must achieve a certificate within one year of the hire date.
• Fetal Echo Registration is preferred but not required. Must be willing to obtain
• Continuing medical education credits as required to maintain registry status through the ARDMS
• Prior Maternal Fetal Medicine experience preferred

Skills

• Skills in gathering and analyzing patient data and experience working with computers
• Interpersonal and communication skills and techniques necessary for effective interaction with patients, physicians, residents, students, managers, co-workers, etc
• Apply independent judgment during the sonography examination to ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are captured accurately in the examination images.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks
• Ability to maintain a professional manner during stressful situations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Location and hours

• Central Pennsylvania Clinic, Bellville, PA (initial training in Lancaster, PA)
• One day per week (flexible), occasionally 2 or 3 days per week

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
