Job Title: Inventory Specialist
Location: Carpinteria, CA 93013
Duration: 0 - 4 Month Contract
Hours: 2nd ShiftJob Description:
Candidate will be familiar with parts management in an electronics warehouse environment and will have exceptional math and observational skills.
Seasoned professional who takes his or her work seriously and values meticulous accuracy in every endeavor.
Role and responsibilities:
- Support production fulfillment activities including material picking and management
- Maintain all training in Company policies and procedures, and safety programs
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in inventory control and day-to-day operations
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability that are crucial.
- Perform various tasks such as order pulling, stocking, palletizing, cycle counting etc.
- Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements
- Notify management of problems that could impact product availability
- Required to use all equipment necessary to perform tasks (Forklift, Electric Jack, etc.)
- Clean driver’s license and able to drive a 20’ box truck
- Very strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Process materials within an ERP system (Oracle preferred)
- Conduct Cycle Counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Continuous lifting of up to 40 pounds in a warehouse setting
- Standing and walking for up to 8 hours per day
- Maintain a strong attendance record
- Maintain a visual warehouse
- Independent work initiative, sound judgment, and professional demeanor
- 5S / 6S experience a plus
- Knowledge of ORACLE ERP software is a huge plus
- Experienced in Inventory Control concepts and variance reconciliation is a must
- Ability to think proactively and efficiently engage in problem solving
- Must have ability to clearly communicate via email, phone, or in person
- Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Great time management skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions or SOPs
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all internal customers
