Our client, a leading innovator in the Paints & Coatings industry, is seeking a Chemist I to join their growing team!
As a Chemist I, you will be an integral part of the laboratory department, supporting research and development initiatives for new paints and coatings. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with a passion for science and a collaborative spirit.
Job Title: Chemist I
Location: Milford, OH
Pay Range: $17-18.5/hr
What's the Job?

• Conduct precise analytical testing on various samples used in paints and coatings using established methods.
• Perform controlled experiments to support the development of new paint and coating formulations.
• Uphold safety protocols and maintain a clean and secure work environment in the chemical laboratory.
• Document experimental data meticulously and prepare initial reports on paint and coating properties.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance testing procedures for paints and coatings and solve problems related to their development.
• Manage and dispose of chemicals used in paints and coatings safely and responsibly.
• Participate in training programs to develop your technical expertise in paints and coatings.

What's Needed?

• Associate's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Strong foundation in chemical processes and laboratory techniques, especially relevant to paints and coatings.
• Keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in scientific data.
• Ability to follow scientific procedures meticulously for consistent results in paint and coating development.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks related to paint and coating analysis.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and data management software a plus.
