Job Description:This position involves the operation of a CNC machine (Forvet) used to drill and cut holes and notches in glass panels. The Operator tracks, locates, and records fabrication production on schedules provided by Lead person or supervisor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up a CNC machine to drill holes, cutouts in glass panels according to work orders, fabrication sheets, and schedules
- Read labels, sketches, system program, and be able to perform spatial visualization interpretation
- Complete daily worksheets and forms, calculating and measuring for hole size and placement, and inspecting work
- Ensure the CNC machine is maintained in good working condition
- The workweek for this position is Monday through Friday.
- There will be mandatory overtime as business needs require.
- This could include overtime on Saturday
- Regular and predictable attendance, ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job
Requirements
- To be considered for a fabrication position, the following conditions must be met:
- Basic computer familiarity
- Accurate data entry skills
- Ability to read and use a tape measure
- Read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency
- Read and write basic English based on position requirements
- Good organizational skills
- Safety, quality, and detail oriented
- Self- motivated with the ability to work independently
- Forvet and Intermac Machine experience a plus
- Drafting and AutoCAD experience preferred
- Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently
- Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
