Role: Light Industrial - Machinist

Shift: 1st shift. start between 5am and 7am
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Works from mechanical drawing to layout material, setup various machine tools to drill, ream, tap, bore, turn, grind, mill, shape or form. Determines sequence of operations required, carries out each operation on machines required from rough to finish. Performs some hand finish operations to complete job. Layout work for other machines. Perform inventory counts as required.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
Engine lathe, turret lathe, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, bandsaw, shaper, vertical slotter, machinist hand tools, micrometers, verniers, calipers, dividers, protractor, height gauge, radius gauge and template. Power-driven and chain hoist, tap burner, hand and power surface grinding key seater, drill press, jig bore, milling machines, sine bar, hydraulic bearing press.
MATERIAL:
Austenitic and ferritic steel, aluminum, plastic, brass, bronze, magnesium, machine parts, castings, and fabricated structures, carbon.
