Tech I Pharmacy Specialty Returns in our Returns Management Department.
The primary responsibility of a Tech I Pharmacy Specialty Returns is to coordinate the flow of patient returns through communication with patients, Healthcare professionals, and Pharmacy Service Representatives and to document daily both authorized and unauthorized returns. You will also be responsible for checking in all patient returns upon arrival to determine if the product is stable and can be re-used as well as logging in all authorized and unauthorized returns into an excel spread sheet.
As part of the Returns Management Department you will be expected to provide excellent service when talking with patients, health care professionals and pharmacy service representatives along with resolve patient issues that can result from having packages shipped to the incorrect address. Additionally, you will be required to track all data for returns on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and communicate with the Accounts Receivable department to ensure the credit is given in a timely manner. To be successful in this role you will need to be efficient in utilizing windows-based systems, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
NOTE: there is a strong element of phone work.
 
Duties
* At least 1-year experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating activities in an administrative support function. * National pharmacy technician certification. Eligible for state registration, certification, or licensure per state regulations. * Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization. * Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must.
 
Experience
Minimum (1) year experience required in a customer service position with high volume call center experience, preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position.
 
Position Summary
This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc. providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.
 
Education
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
