LanceSoft Inc is Hiring a Quality Technician Near Charlotte, NC

Quality TechnicianBRIEF DESCRIPTION:The quality technician is responsible for quality inspection and auditing of manufacturing operations, component and finished goods as well as quality records, execute product activities and reconciles related records; assists in completing discrepancy corrective/preventative action; and assist with auditing of suppliers. Perform receiving, in-process and final inspections ensuring compliance to quality metrics and standards.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conducts required process audits and update the work instructions (SOP’s), as required.
  • Records measurement data into database systems for capturing, analyzing, and providing timely and accurate reporting.
  • Reads and interprets blueprint drawings and be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Inspects and examines material for quality compliance and process rejected product.
  • Operates forklift, power pallet jack or manual carts or pallet jacks to unload, move or store materials.
  • Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor, leads, and/or to safety.
  • Follows work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
  • Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements, rules, and regulations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Education:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Additional quality certifications (i.e. ASQ certifications) preferred.
Experience:
  • A minimum of (1) one years related work experience that includes a working knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as CMM, micrometers, height gauges & calipers, etc.
  • Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations, such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Plus, knowledge of fractions, decimals, and squares, and square roots.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality.
  • Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format.
  • Ability to provide extended flexible work hours, as work-load and projects requires.
