General job duties and types of procedures required:
New unit focused on the care of a variety of Medical/Surgical IMC patients. Focus opportunities are Neuro-Medical-Respiratory-surgical, post-trauma; Sepsis is the #1 diagnosis. IMC monitoring including ventilator care, EEG observation room, Off Site Telemetry, acute stroke, complex surgeries, seizure disorders. There will be many opportunities for dressing, medication administration (all routes) and monitoring with titratable meds, drainage tubes, focused assessments and nursing interventions.

Equipment utilized in the unit/department:
Experience with documentation on an electronic health record - Cerner system preferred, and use of bedside bar code administration
Required skills and minimum years of experience:
At least 2 years of experience in Intermediate Care/ICU Stepdown
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required:
Current and active IL license required as well as BLS & ACLS
Shift or schedule requirements:
Every Other weekend is expected. Shift to be determined at the time of the request. 36 hours per week
Floating to other units/departments:
Will need to be flexible to assist with staffing on other Telemetry units
