DESCRIPTION:
- The Vendor Master and Payments Specialist will lead the Vendor Master Data function for Aftersales and Batavia A/P shared services.
- This role will also participate in payments processing and process improvement.
- The Batavia A/P team processes direct and indirect invoices and payments for the Aftersales organization, North America plants, and Home Office.
- This position reports to the Controller and supports Operational and Functional leadership.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage NA Payments mailbox and action
- Process Purchase Order maintenance within JDE system
- Research supplier questions relating to payments and debits memos
- Research and send remittance advices
- Processes Vendor Setup requests to ensure proper routing approval and receipt of complete vendor package. Data entry into JDE for direct vendors and coordination with SAP support team in Budapest for entry of all (direct and indirect) vendors. Independently leads the day-to day activities of the Vendor Master Data requests and ongoing maintenance.
- Responsible for due diligence of all Vendor change requests, including bank change verification.
- Stringent adherence to best practices to ensure the integrity of all data change requests.
- Must be a skilled communicator in order to work with Purchasing and remote data team in Budapest via direct, phone, or email correspondence.
- Support Payments Processor as a backup and team leader
- Review and manage high profile vendor payment processing with unique procedures.
- Maintain written documentation of all processes and procedures.
- Sales and Use tax form completion and submission
- Process year end 1099 and T4 forms
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong self-initiative, leadership, communication, interpersonal, strategic, planning, and organizational skills
- ERP Vendor Master and Payments experience required; SAP experience is a plus
- Strong Excel skills required
- Comfortable with large volume of data
- Carries out all duties in accordance with the company mission and philosophy
- Must be self-sufficient and can think strategically, look forward and plan tactically and logically
- Always demonstrates honesty and integrity
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or associate degree with equivalent work experience
- Work Experience: 5-10 years’ experience in Accounts Payable / Vendor Maintenance
