We are looking for a Transportation Manager, to manage and coordinate all transportation activities within the Minot, ND location. You will be a valued team member responsible for all transportation activities at the site, which includes internal fleet, dedicated carriers, LTL, and contract carriers. Key responsibilities include transportation management, management of personnel, DOT compliance, safety and other duties as assigned.
HoursCore Hours: Day Shift, M- F; 8am – 4:30pm, During peak season, work may need to be performed during non-standard hours, including nights and weekends based on the business needs.
Required Skills And Education
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED Required.
  • Supervisory Experience: 3 years of experience managing people.
  • Leadership: 3 years of experience with DOT operations and compliance. Ability to demonstrate successful past leadership in operations, warehouse management, and/or managing personnel.
  • Technology: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, experience with enterprise systems is highly desired (SAP, Oracle or JDE)
  • Certifications: Valid driver’s license
  • Restricted Use Pesticide Salespersons license if required (or ability to attain by a specific date as agreed with company).
  • Able to pass an OSHA fit test with a require respirator
  • Floor Presence is required
Preferred
  • Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Supervisory Experience: 5 years or more experience managing people.
  • Regulations/Compliance: practical experience working with DOT regulations, EH&S programs, and other compliance/safety procedures.
  • Certifications: Valid CDL-Class A License
  • Warehouse and/or Dispatch experience.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
  • Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements.
  • Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust and chemicals are present.
