Landis Communities is Hiring a Facilities Manager Near Lititz, PA

Facilities Manager LH
Leads, supervises and supports the HVAC and Facilities teams of the Facilities Department. Maintains an effective link between the Facilities team and their constituency by delegating and completing responsibilities and tasks within the team, with a focus on the timely fulfillment of these duties. This position delivers on key areas, such as Life Safety compliance, training, and all areas outlined below pertaining to the successful operations of the Facilities Department.
  • Ensures an efficient flow of communication within the Facilities Department.
  • Maintains organized preventive maintenance and repair records. Provides monthly review and feedback.
  • Delegates administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to other maintenance personnel as deemed necessary to perform their assigned duties.
  • Communicates with Landis Homes' staff, residents and others involved regarding maintenance issues. Creates memos to residents when needed.
  • Assists with repairs as needed.
  • Maintains appropriate equipment and parts inventory.
  • Tracks and submits invoices for payment in coordination with the Director of Facilities.
  • Completes payroll duties as needed each pay period.
  • Responsible for Department of Health Life Safety compliance tracking.
  • Fulfills responsibilities as assigned during implementation or activation of the facility’s emergency plan.
  • Performs regular safety inspections of the facility and documents the findings.
  • Participates in on-call rotation in Facilities.
  • Assists with snow removal and other emergencies as needed.
  • Reports work-related injuries and illnesses immediately to Director of Risk Management. Submits accident/incident reports within twenty-four (24) hours after their occurrence.
  • Assumes the Director's duties in his/her absence.
  • High school diploma/GED or demonstrated proficiency in reading and writing skills required.
  • Maintains current valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
  • Prior experience in related role required.
  • Demonstrates a working understanding of electrical systems, HVAC systems, and various mechanical and architectural systems.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a maintenance/plant related position required.
  • Proficient in use of computer and related technology required for the role.
  • Possesses good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently, well-organized, and can multi-task.
  • Demonstrates a pleasant personality with flexibility and adaptability for frequent interruptions.
  • Demonstrates leadership, management skills, dependability and a positive demeanor.
