Landivar & Associates, LLC is Hiring a Construction Service Manager Near Virginia, VA

The Service Manager is tasked with overseeing and expanding the overall construction service division. This role ensures effective dispatch, delivers top-notch customer service, and fosters the development of a skilled and capable team. Additionally, the Service Manager collaborates with company leadership on strategic planning to enhance both capacity and service quality.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a team of construction workers, foreman, and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate training and development programs to enhance team skills and productivity.

Resource Allocation

  • Allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, effectively to meet project requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement activities.

Quality Control

  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all work meets company standards and client specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and rectify any issues.

Client Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and project updates.

Safety Compliance

  • Enforce safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct safety training sessions and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Budget Management

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
  • Review and approve expenditures and financial reports related to construction activities.

Contract Management

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met and any disputes are resolved swiftly.

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the service department.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, and financial records.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project status, performance metrics, and operational issues.

Problem Solving

  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
  • Implement proactive measures to prevent future problems and improve overall project outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are advantageous.

Experience

  • Extensive experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record in project management or a similar leadership role.
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in construction management software, Microsoft office, Smartsheet, etc.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, cost control, and financial management principles.

Leadership and Management Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
