Shift: Part Time Days

Summary: A Physical Therapist (PT)is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, treatment and evaluation of physical therapy for patients.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of specific conditions, diseases, and treatment therapies for specific patient populations
• Assesses patients' physical, psychological, social, and educational needs to determine level and type of care
• Develops and maintains current patient treatment plan to include patient problems, goals, and interventions
• Delivers care based on acuity level, identified needs, and physician orders
• Coordinates physical therapy care activities with other departments/disciplines
• Assesses, collaborates, and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge
• Assesses patient/family learning needs, abilities and readiness to learn and integrates needs into plan of care
• Provides appropriate education/orientation to patients/families

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or post Graduate degree (PT)
  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) License in the state of Missouri
  • BLS Certification preferred (Classes offered!)
• Minimum 1 year hospital experience, critical care/acute care preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Superior analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Patient Centered: Our Long-Term Acute Care patients stay with us an average of 25 - 30 days, which allows the clinical team to get to know the patient as a person
