Landmark Properties is Hiring an Associate - Debt Capital Markets Near Atlanta, GA

Job Description

The Debt Capital Markets Associate will assist in the procurement and execution of new financings for various projects as well as managing Landmark’s existing debt portfolio. Landmark’s loan portfolio exceeds $6Bn and continues to grow with Landmark’s active development, acquisition, and asset management platforms. This provides the opportunity for the Debt Capital Markets Associate to work on a large volume of high-profile transactions.

Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the role’s responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.

  • Assist in effort to procure debt financing for various Landmark projects, including construction financing for new developments, acquisition financing for acquisitions from third parties, and refinancing of existing portfolio assets.

  • Work with internal Landmark capital markets, development, and asset management teams as well as external resources (such as capital advisors, consultants and attorneys) to facilitate underwriting, presentation, and due diligence as it relates to procuring debt financing for Landmark projects.

  • Coordinate efforts between Landmark development and asset management teams, Landmark counsel, and lender/lender’s counsel to efficiently manage the due diligence process and close financings.

  • Assist in managing existing lender relationships and participate in seeking to identify new lending partners, including facilitating updates on the student housing sector and Landmark’s platform in order to promote lender interest in Landmark as an organization and Landmark projects.

Education & Experience

  • 2 – 5 years of Commercial Real Estate experience ideally in investor relations, asset management, investments, or portfolio management.

  • Undergraduate degree is required, preferably with a focus in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or other relevant subject matter.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Experience in commercial real estate banking, finance and/or investment analysis.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills; proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

  • Travel: Varies; the associate may attend lender and investor property tours both locally and nationwide. When not local, travel will typically be 0-2 trips per month typically 0-2 nights per trip.
