As the Associate Product Sustainability Manager, you will partner with the Director of Color and Sustainability in driving our sustainability initiatives across the entire product lifecycle, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility, while advancing our commitment to environmental and social responsibility across our supply chain. This position requires an understanding of sustainable practices in the textile and retail apparel industry.

• Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive product sustainability strategy aligned with the company's overall sustainability goals. Actively participate in Lands' End's ESG committee.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into product development, sourcing, and manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate, track and report on suppliers' sustainability performance, implementing measures to ensure compliance with ethical and environmental standards, leveraging modules such as Higg, FEM and FSLM.
• Partner with raw materials and design teams to support the selection of sustainable materials and processes that support circular economy principles. Build and maintain good working relationships with internal stakeholders, including design, product development/sourcing, raw materials, and marketing teams to embed sustainable practices into every stage of the product life cycle.
• Engage with external stakeholders, NGOs, and industry groups to stay informed on best practices and emerging trends in sustainable fashion.
• Calculate, Analyze and report on sustainability performance metrics for products, tracking key indicators such as carbon footprint, water usage, and waste reduction to benchmark progress and provide relevant information for annual corporate sustainability report.
• In partnership with the team, produce regular reports on sustainability goals, achievements, challenges, and opportunities for leadership and stakeholders.
• Leads the renewal process for organizational memberships, commitments, and certifications annually, to include but not limited to the Cascale, Ecovadis, SBTi, and Textile Exchange.

Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in product sustainability management, preferably in the retail apparel industry.
• Familiarity with Higgs, SBTI, and Textile Exchange.
• Knowledge of sustainable materials, supply chain processes, global sustainability standards, certifications, and industry best practices.
• Project management skills with a track record of successful sustainability initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire change across cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with supply chain management and experience in working with global suppliers, a plus.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change in the fashion industry.
