This is a wonderful opportunity to join a successful and growing private optometry practice in Glen Allen. Dr. Adam S. Melton is looking for a highly-organized, outgoing and hard-working person to serve as his practices Front Office Specialist. The successful candidate will lead and perform all front office and administrative duties. This position will be responsible for running the front desk, engaging with patients and working closely with Dr. Melton and the practices talented opticians. Applicants must be a team player, a self-starter and have the ability to multi-task. While prior medical experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right person.

Duties of the Medical Front Office Specialist include the following:

• greeting patients
• check-in/check-out
• scheduling appointments
• taking co-pays
• answering phones and triaging calls
• entering demographics
• verifying benefits
• coordinating with the billing specialist
• other administrative duties as required

Applicants must have:

• Prior medical practice experience, preferred
• Strong computer skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Outgoing, friendly and caring personality
• Ability to work as a team player

Schedule The practice is open as follows:

• Monday Wednesday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Thursday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
