Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answers all incoming calls, such as appointments, patients seeking medical advice, etc.
- Records and gives accurate information for messages.
- Check-in patients in a courteous and friendly manner and places chart in correct place so patients are able to see technologist.
- Schedules appointments
- Makes all changes in system and notifies patient of a change in previously scheduled appointments.
- Verifies patient's record is up to date and accurate. Makes appropriate changes in computer system and on patient's chart.
- Performs miscellaneous duties related reception when indicated.
Qualification:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of Radiology helpful, but not required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, patients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Operates switchboard and provides answering service to clients; records and delivers messages, furnishes information, accepts orders, and relays calls; files messages
