Description

A growing non-profit is seeking an Accountant responsible for accounting activities related to the maintenance of organization financials including general ledger, monthly and year-end reports, reconciliation, and supporting grants.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
• Review/oversight activities relating to the general ledger and accounting records
• Running ad-hoc reports, create new accounting templates
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank statement, credit cards monthly
• Perform monthly variance analysis
• Backfill for AP/AR processing
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes to increase timeliness, efficiency and improve the accuracy of financial reporting.
• Provides support for the accounting of fixed assets
• Supports accounting for grants, including salary allocations, generating invoices on a timely basis as required, generating monthly grant financial reports, working with grant program managers as needed.

Requirements

· 1 year of experience in accounting/finance, 

· Intermediate MS Excel experience is required.

· Experience in accounting for a non-profit organization.

· Knowledge of accounting principles, theories, methods, concepts and techniques preferred.

· Knowledge of grant management, including budgets, salary allocations, modifications and monthly financial reporting preferred.

· Experience with Abila MIP and FQHC setting preferred
