This individual will serve as our Ambassador of First Impressions and will help provide administrative support for our Lansing associates. The best candidate for this role will enthusiastically work in a team environment while maintaining a realistic balance across multiple priorities. This job is fun, challenging, and rewarding.
Responsibilities
  • As our Ambassador of First Impressions, you will b uild and maintain strong relationships across Lansing Building Products with our associates, customers, and suppliers.
  • Capably cover the reception desk by answering incoming calls and routing them to the appropriate person; pleasantly field cold calls and occasional customer complaints and directing them to the appropriate person/department.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in dress, tone, and manner at all times.
  • Cheerfully greet associates and visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals.
  • Efficiently manage and maintain meeting rooms and meeting room schedules to ensure that all are appropriately stocked and that bookings are accurate, while ensuring the comfort of our associates and guests.
  • Assist the National Events Director with planning and execution of in-house and off-site events
  • Schedule and develop home office events and smaller branch-related events across all regions.
  • Assist Lansing associates with travel arrangements (flights, hotels, rental cars, etc.)
  • Maintain confidentiality over various multi-departmental issues
  • Maintain inventory of all planning closets and storage
  • Help to maintain the home office appearance and efficiency
  • Monitor associate site for family updates and occasionally send out presents to families of newborns
  • Assist with office supply orders for all Lansing branches – help with problem solving on orders
  • Occasionally assist other departments with mailings and/or scanning/filing.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Front Desk Representative/Receptionist.
  • Demonstration of poise, hospitality, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience as an Administrative Assistant, or a similar role preferred.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite and other various applications.
Position Type And Expected Hours Of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm
