Position: Registered Behavior Technician

Starting Salary Range: *$24.00/hr.-$28.80/hr.

We are seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to support the Calabrese Youth Center (CYC). Reporting to the CYC Assistant Director, this role will support Laradon’s mission by ensuring the welfare and safety of residents, and providing the necessary assistance to increase independent living skills. In addition, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of residential counselors during shift regarding implementation of treatment and behavior plans.

No day is ever alike but you can generally look forward to the following responsibilities:

  • ​​​​​​​In partnership with CYC leadership team, you will provide leadership and guidance to a team of residential counselors, including training, mentoring, and providing feedback regarding the implementation of behavior plans and treatment goals
  • Assisting with onboarding new residents to CYC
  • Providing training and modeling of behavior analytic interventions, approaches, and data collection
  • Train children/youth in use of community resources (RTD, laundromat, banks, restaurants, etc.).
  • Respond to emergencies and crisis situations promptly and effectively.
  • Drive participants as necessary for program needs.
  • Oversee health and welfare of children/youth and report concerns and progress to program manager.
  • Train, and assist as necessary, children/youth in shopping, cleaning, money management, hobbies, personal hygiene, etc.
  • Provide direct counseling and training services to children/youth.
  • Provide 24-hour supervision to children/youth.
  • Assist with onboarding new students and orienting them to the center.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, progress, and incidents.
  • Ensure the completion passing of medication is smooth and timely.
  • Ensure physical management reports are completed before end of shift.
  • Assisting the clinical team with creating program materials
  • Completing continuing education trainings
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Bachelors in Human Services or related field, or Two-years’ experience working with developmentally disabled youth with emotional/behavioral disorders.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
  • Ability to pass the RBT exam through the BACB within 60 days of hire
  • Demonstrates and maintains highly ethical practice per the BACB ethics code for RBTs.
