This position also supports other third-party software applications used by LCCC that integrate with the administrative computer system; manages other IT professionals which support administrative applications; and participates in the development and implementation of strategic objectives to meet the overall college mission.

Essential Functions this position is Exempt, i.e., is not eligible for compensatory or overtime pay provisions of the FLSA.
  • Successfully manage Colleague ERP solution by installing and testing vendor delivered software updates.
  • Monitor and resolve user and system processing issues by responding to user submitted tickets, evaluating performance metrics, and monitoring third-party file integrations.
  • Manage, support, and evaluate personnel to accomplish the objectives of the ITS division and the institution.
  • Audit, maintain, modify, or generate custom programming as necessary to meet the changing needs of end users or the institution to satisfy business process changes.
  • Represent the ITS Division and Institution by participating on various committees, working with other ITS departments, and representing LCCC at various state level groups.
  • Other duties as necessitated by the ITS division or Institutional needs.

  • Knowledge of operating environments, organizational software and applications.

  • Knowledge of Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards.
  • Knowledge of the operations and processes for incident, problem, and event management including escalation as needed.
  • Knowledge of IT system operation, maintenance, and security needed to keep equipment functioning properly.
  • Knowledge of successful capabilities to identify the solutions to less common and more complex system problems.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting methods
  • Knowledge of change control procedures
  • Knowledge of documentation processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement
  • Knowledge of what is cloud based and what is on premises and the different support models for each.

Physical/Mental Demands
  • There may be multiple/daily instances of prolonged sitting, standing, and personal computer use, which would include keyboard and/or mouse usage as well as viewing a computer monitor
  • An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds to perform essential position functions
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, or business administration, OR equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Two years of ERP administration or system support experience.
  • Demonstrated project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in computer science, information system management and Buisness Administration.
  • Two years of Ellucian applications programming and systems support experience.
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • Experience in budget creation and management.
  • Experience in working at a higher education institution.
