LARC is Hiring a Van Driver Near Lafayette, LA
SUMMARY: Drives van over an established route to deliver and pick up clients to and from New Hope Center by performing the following duties.
ESSSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes but not limited to the following:
- Drives van to deliver clients to clients' home, place of work or New Hope Center.
- Records information on daily log sheets.
- Responsible for keeping and updated Commercial Class D Driver's License (Chauffeur's License) on file in personnel office.
- Responsible for reporting any moving violations or changes in his/her driving status to the Transportation Manager within five days of the violation or change.
- Must report all accidents/incidents to the supervisor.
- Must observe all Transportation and LARC Policies and Procedures.
- Responsible for fueling vehicle at all times. Fueling must be done without clients on board.
- Informs the Transportation Manager of vehicle problems or possible vehicle problems.
- Listens to and directs complaints to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintains inside of vehicle for safety. Must be free of debris and items not related to the transportation system.
- Required to attend on-going in-service training.
- Performs other routine duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
