Larimer County is Hiring an Accounting Technician II Near Fort Collins, CO

OverviewThe Accounting Technician II provides vital accounting and payroll support to Larimer County Community Justice Alternatives (CJA), which includes the Community Corrections Department and the Alternative Sentencing Department. CJA boasts over 220 employees who excel in supporting individuals in the criminal justice system through innovative programs.
The typical hours for this position are Monday to Friday, approximately 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
ResponsibilitiesSpecifically, this position:
  • Processes deposits for client fees and client income.
  • Manages Community Corrections client income in the custom finance module of our Larimer Offender Information System. This includes handling deposits, distributing restitution, fulfilling cash requests, monitoring client savings, conducting bank reconciliations, and performing audits.
  • Handles onboarding, offboarding, timesheets, pay adjustments, reporting, etc.
  • Executes various billing processes related to contracts with state and federal agencies.
  • Maintains and processes confidential payroll and personnel records.

QualificationsAll candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Larimer County Accounting Technician I, comparable experience in a directly related field, or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
