A full-service engineering firm is looking to bring on a Controller to its New York City office. This individual will report directly into the CEO and ensure timely and accurate execution of all financial and accounting functions. As manager of the firm's accounting department, this leadership position requires excellent communication and leadership skills and provides the chance to work directly with the executive board.

Title: Controller

Location: New York City (hybrid on-site)

Salary: $140,000-185,000/yr

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead firm budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and other accounting functions such as general ledger, accounts recievable/payable, and payroll
• Serve as firm GAAP and FAR subject matter expert
• Sign off on all monthly/quarterly/annual closings
• Ensure firm compliance with federal and state regulations
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for annual submissions

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• At least 8 years' experience in an accounting or finance role at a high level
• Must have direct managerial experience
• Engineering industry experience a plus
