A Credit Investment Fund is looking to bring on a Senior Registered Funds Counsel to sit in their Greenwich, CT office. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this individual will join a tight-knit legal team with high visibility across the business. The role involves handling a variety of regulatory matters, including 1940 Act compliance, transactional support, regulatory filings, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Update and implement policies and procedures in accordance with securities laws, particularly the Investment Company Act of 1940.
• Manage regulatory review and support transactional and disclosure matters regarding new and previously existing products, fund marketing materials, distribution, etc.
• Manage Corporate Governance matters for Registered funds
• Work with outside counsel and service providers as needed
• Support the legal team with special projects on an ad-hoc basis

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate and Bar Admission
• 4-6 YOE working with Registered Investment Companies and BDCs
• Extensive knowledge and comfortability with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and other federal securities laws/regulations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and abilities to meet tight deadlines
