REPORTS TO: Principal / Athletic Director
JOB FUNCTION: Work with the athletic director, building principals and district staff to promote and facilitate an effective athletic program.

JOB FUNCTION: Work with the athletic director, building principals and district staff to promote and facilitate an effective athletic program.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administers the school’s athletic program in the absence of the Athletic Director.
- Provides leadership to the athletic department under the direction of the Athletic Director. Advocates for the proper place of athletics in the overall educational process.
- Encourages the overall improvement of all athletic programs.
- Collaborates and assists the athletic director and building principals in the supervision of athletic events.
- Provides assistance for the organization and management of athletic events.
- Collaborates with and assists the athletic director to assure compliance with rules and regulations of the Kentucky High School Athletics Association (KHSAA).
- Assists the athletic director to administer Board policies related to athletics including the random drug testing policy for student athletes.
- Addresses complaints and resolves problems under the direction of the Athletic Director and building administrator.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Principal and Athletic Director
- Three (3) years of successful classroom teaching, coaching, and/or athletic administration experience preferred.
