Job DescriptionThe Certified Caregiver assists residents in tasks that are essential to their daily care and livelihood. A typical day may include responding to emergency calls and situations; documenting and reporting care provided; and transporting residents to various functions or locations. Familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population is essential for this role.
  • Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living such as grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair, and maintaining resident apartments
  • Transport residents within the community to other departments and/or functions.
  • Document and report care provided and resident observations
  • Obtain vital signs, heights, and weights.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:
  • A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for our Residents.
  • If you are under the age of 18, then you must provide proper schoolwork authorization.
  • Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have completed all state educational requirements.
  • Must maintain first aid certification and Heimlich Maneuver training, may be facilitated by the community.
