Position OverviewThe primary responsibility of the IT Risk Manager is defining and operating a set of risk management actions. Ownership of risk assessments, process of accessing risk, managing process of risk identification and integration of risk assessment in lifecycles of change – Project Management, Software Development.
Ensuring handover of identified risks to IT Compliance for tracking and ongoing management of resolutions.
The IT Risk Manager will be the central point of contact for all Risk activities, owning coordination and completion of any risk activity. This role requires partnership with IT Compliance, all IT change functions, IT Operations as well as Sands Enterprise Risk, Cyber and Compliance teams as needed.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as central coordination point for all required risk assessments as part of change processes in Corp IT, including but not limited to, projects, software development.
- Orchestrate all required parties to complete any risk assessments
- Transition any open risks to active risk register within IT Compliance, Cyber GRV and business system owners
- Develop proactive risk assessment solutions and processes within Agile processes, automate toolchain where possible to support DevOps, DevSecOps and AppSec strategies.
- Develop, monitor, and report on key metrics (KPIs and KRIs) for identified risks
- Prepare reports and documentation about the risk management processes outputs, and communicate to the stakeholders regarding the same
- Coordinate with IT Compliance, IT Security and Cyber on development risk policies and management practices
- Monitor efficacy of risk assessments and provide feedback
- Conduct investigations as required to validate and verify identified risks
- Triage change demands and asses where appropriate risk assessments should be executed
- Identify and communicate process improvements and efficiencies.
- Interpret and clearly explain risk, impact and likelihood in clear language for all stakeholders
- Perform job duties in a safe manner.
- Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- At least 21 years of age
- Proof of authorization to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, IT or related business discipline is required
- Minimum 8 years of Compliance, Governance and IT experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Management experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- Experience working within a dynamic change environment with IT projects and software development
- Gaming and Hospitality experience in a large global environment preferred
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines, while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work autonomously as well as to collaborate in team
- Strong financial acumen and bottom-line orientation
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong quantitative & analytical skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form
- Ability to thrive in an environment of constant learning, and requires the ability to think critically
- Able to travel as needed to support a global organization
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Work remotely as necessary
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.
- Utilize laptop and standard keyboard to perform essential functions of the job.
