We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to provide temporary leadership for one of our client's growing AP departments. In this critical role, you will oversee the processing of a high volume of invoices while ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. You will be responsible for managing a team of 2-3 employees and ensuring smooth operations during this interim period. This Accounts Payable Manager position will work three days a week onsite in Scottsdale, AZ and can pay competitively.

Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the daily accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor relations and payment approvals
• Oversee the processing of a high volume (500 invoices per week) with a total value of $6 million
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors in accordance with established procedures
• Manage and mentor a team of 2-3 employees (experience preferred) to ensure efficient and accurate processing
• Reconcile accounts payable and identify and resolve any discrepancies
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and address inquiries promptly
• Adapt quickly to new processes and systems, with JD Edwards experience a plus
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate financial records

Accounts Payable Manager Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume environment
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of employees
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with JD Edwards a plus, but not required
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
