As the Plant HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of their manufacturing operations by leading human resources efforts within the plant facility. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with at least 5 years of experience in a plant environment, adept at managing recruitment, employee relations, engagement, performance management and other HR functions.
Plant HR Manager Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various positions within the plant
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely filling of vacancies
  • Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and make hiring recommendations aligned with organizational goals and values
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a fair and timely manner
  • Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees on HR policies, procedures and best practices
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and take appropriate corrective actions as needed
  • Develop and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive work culture within the plant
  • Implement programs and activities aimed at recognizing and rewarding employee contributions
  • Analyze employee feedback and survey data to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans accordingly
  • Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations and development planning
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters, including coaching, feedback and performance improvement plans
  • Ensure compliance with performance management policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Administer HR programs and processes, including benefits administration, leave management and employee documentation
  • Stay abreast of changes in HR laws and regulations and proactively update policies and practices as needed
Plant HR Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • 5 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, engagement and performance management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
