LaSalle Network is Hiring a Purchasing Agent Near Greensboro, NC

Our client, a leading organization in the healthcare sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join their procurement team in Greensboro, NC. This role is critical in supporting the purchasing activities and ensuring the seamless acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will assist with the procurement process, maintain accurate records and collaborate with various departments to support operational needs.

Purchasing Agent Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders for supplies and equipment, maintaining and updating procurement records
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain product information, pricing and delivery schedules, and support contract negotiations
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to ensure timely replenishment of stock and resolve any issues related to invoices, deliveries and quality discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, operations and logistics, to ensure alignment on procurement activities and compliance with company policies
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, costs and supplier performance, and perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry and document management

Purchasing Agent Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of healthcare procurement or supply chain experience
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience with Lawson/Infor
  • GHX experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices
