Our client, global medical manufacturer, is looking to expand their finance department. As they continue to expand their operations, they're seeking a Senior Accountant - Merger & Acquisition to join their team in the northern suburbs of Chicago!
The Senior Accountant - M&A will work hand in hand with Finance leaders on tackling merger, acquisition and technical accounting operations and financial reporting. Enjoy competitive compensation packages plus additional bonus and opportunities for professional development and growth.
Senior Accountant - M&A Responsibilities:

• Draft and assisted in implementing accounting policies under US GAAP
• Perform accounting research for complex transactions: business combination, VIE, restructure, goodwill impairment, equity and stock-based compensation, IFRS/US GAAP conversion, income statement classification, fair value measurement and tax provision
• Support M&A accounting, prepare monthly close data, journal entries and account reconciliation for technical accounting areas
• Liaise with corporate accounting and global reporting/consolidations as needed on technical accounting and financial reporting matters
• Assist with the implementation of an external financial reporting tool

Senior Accountant - M&A Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• 3 years of public accounting or technical accounting experience
• Experience working in a M&A environment
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to process improve
