LaSalle Network is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant to join our client's dynamic finance team, a fast-growing real estate company! Senior Property Accountant Responsibilities:

• Producing timely and accurate financial statements of our real estate portfolio
• Performing reviews of monthly and daily deliverables through the running of daily controls, trial balance preparation and analytical analysis
• Strong ability to interpret accounting for commercial lease agreements
• Performing monthly, quarterly and year-end closings of general ledger in accordance with GAAP
• Preparing and reviewing workpapers and variance analyses
• Preparing or reviewing straight-line schedules pursuant to lease agreements
• Preparing or reviewing amortization schedules
• Reviewing expense funding requests and invoices for proper GL classification and ensuring requests include proper documentation
• Preparing and reviewing operating expense reconciliations
• Preparing and reviewing annual budgets and forecasts
• Working with auditors
• Identify and assist in streamlining processes
• Maintain an efficient and appropriate control environment in accordance with SOX
• Assisting Company's regulatory filing requirements
• Work close with the team on projects and coordinate with other departments

Senior Property Accountant Requirements:

• Solid understanding of and application of US GAAP
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required, or will consider Finance Degree along with experience
• 4 years of property accounting experience required
• Experience working for a publicly traded REIT preferred
• Proven ability to timely and accurately meet daily, monthly, and quarterly deliverables
• Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex financial information in a clear concise manner
• Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently
• Strong analytical skills and ability to remain highly organized in a deadline driven environment while maintaining strict attention to detail
• Proficiency in Yardi Voyager Accounting Software is required
• Experience working in a SOX 404 compliant environment a plus
