Senior Technical Accountant Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Review entries for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Prepare and analyze financial statements according to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or relevant accounting standards. Ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with regulations
• Prepare and monitor the annual budget, forecasting financial results and making recommendations for improvements
• Conduct financial analysis and provide timely reports to the management team, highlighting key financial metrics, trends and variances
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Review entries for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Utilize accounting software and other financial systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Provide training and support to staff as needed
• Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits. Provide documentation and explanations as required to support audit procedures

Senior Technical Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field. A CPA designation is preferred
• 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance capacity
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal control procedures
• Proficiency with mergers and acquisitions is preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational and Excel reporting skills
