Laser Photonics Corporation is Hiring a Senior Government and Military Contracts Manager Near Maitland, FL

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Government and Military Contracts Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee and optimize our government and military contracting operations, driving business growth and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in government and military contracting.

What You'll Do:

1. Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new government and military contracting opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key government and military agencies and stakeholders to include various government contract holders across the Dod/Federal Ecosystem. These would include IDIQ contracts, DLA Prime Vendors, Federal 8A’s and other set- aside contract holders.
  • Lead proposal development and submission processes, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements.

2. Contract Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of government and military contracting, from solicitation to contract closure.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with government and military entities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor contract performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.

4. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with government and military regulations and policies governing contracting and logistics.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and implement corrective actions.

5. Supplier/Government Contract Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and government contract holders.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular reviews.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions to maximize value for the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in government and military contracting with a minimum of 7 years in a mid-level to senior role.
  • In-depth knowledge of government and military contracting processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Current military base access (National Guard, Reserve, Retired, Disabled Vet) highly encouraged.
