About The RoleThe Business Development Analyst – Litigation & Trial is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team. This role will be responsible for working in close collaboration with the Litigation & Trial Business Development (BD) team, key market leaders, and colleagues across the Business Development department to support the Litigation & Trial department’s overall marketing and business development goals, while developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of practice, market and industry expertise, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and media . This role will be located in either our Washington DC, San Diego, Orange County, or Downtown Los Angeles office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Pay Range USD $70,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 /Yr.

This role will be responsible for working in close collaboration with the Litigation & Trial Business Development (BD) team, key market leaders, and colleagues across the Business Development department to support the Litigation & Trial department’s overall marketing and business development goals, while developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of practice, market and industry expertise, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and media . This role will be located in either our Washington DC, San Diego, Orange County, or Downtown Los Angeles office. Responsibilities & QualificationsOther key responsibilities include:
- Providing research, analysis, and reports to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships
- Supporting the implementation of business development tactics and initiatives in alignment with the strategic objectives of practices, markets, relevant industry sectors, and/or clients as assigned
- Aiding in the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with relevant BD teams
- Coordinating the research of markets, competition, and conflicts for the department and practice groups to drive strategy
- Collaborating with lawyers, BD, and Brand & Communications teams on speaking opportunities, webinars, and other visibility initiatives
- Display the ability to execute multiple work streams and manage priorities effectively
- Demonstrate curiosity about the work of the Litigation & Trial practices and eagerness to cultivate subject matter expertise in selected areas
- Exhibit critical thinking skills, motivation, and a collaborative mindset
- Possess exceptional oral and written communication and professional interpersonal skills
- A Bachelor’s degree
- A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent in marketing or business, preferably
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience within a law firm or professional services environment
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting litigation practice areas, preferably
