Summary:
The Social Services Manager oversees and ensures compliance with the LCC's social services programming. Collaborating with the Director of Programs, this role fosters a supportive environment, empowering families through case management and service coordination.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Oversee daily operations of caseworkers managing complex cases (e.g., passports, vital records, health systems) with durations from one week to six months.
● Serve as the expert resource for social services teams, resolving issues beyond their capability.
● Prepare documentation and reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for leadership and partners.
● Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and quality.
● Develop and implement program evaluations with the Director of Programs.
● Stay informed of trends and communicate them for effective program development.
● Advocate with community partners for clients' and families' needs.
● Build relationships with other organizations for referrals.
● Strategically enhance the Social Services team and programming.
● Supervise, coach, and train staff.
● Educate and raise awareness of the needs of our community to improve access systems
● Resolve conflicts promptly and maintain a positive work environment.
● Address employee concerns effectively and proactively manage potential issues.
● Ensure collaboration between the social services team and other LCC teams.
● Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and onboarding new team members.
● Develop interventions to minimize staff burnout.
● Represent LCC in community meetings and collaborate with partners to address systemic issues.
● Collaborate with other LCC Managers to ensure initial contact and enrollment with the Welcome Center.
● Update the Master Resource List for staff referrals.
● Understand eligibility criteria and provide program descriptions for community inquiries.
● Address access barriers for families seeking LCC services.
● Supervise caseworkers in assessing and managing clients' crisis situations.
● Approve timesheets, coordinate schedules, and conduct performance reviews per HR
requirements.
● Attend relevant community meetings, training, and maintain professional networks.
● Ensure compliance with all funder programs and processes.
● Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and LCC policies.
● Perform other duties as needed.

● Incumbent will operate in an office setting and be required to use a computer with a keyboard, telephone, or handheld mobile device for extended periods of time, and office machinery as needed.
● Individual may occasionally be required to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 20 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, 40 hours a week. LCC operating hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Thursday, 9:00 AM to 7 PM, and some Saturdays, 10 AM - 4 PM; however, it may be subject to change to meet the demands of the community served by LCC. Incumbents may need to work outside operating hours as requested and must be flexible to meet with families and students at a time most convenient to them, including evenings. This position is hybrid, with the majority of the days in person at the LCC office.
Education, Certification(s), and/or License(s) Required:
● Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited college, Licensed Social Worker (LSW) preferred
● Minimum of Three(3) years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role is required
● Minimum of Three(3) years of experience directly working with the Latino Community in any capacity preferred
● Previous experience working in customer service, social services, or mental health settings is preferred
● Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances and a valid PA driver’s license with a clean driving record required
● Complete Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania required.
Other Requirements:
● Must possess excellent computer, organizational, and data management skills
● Must be bilingual in Spanish and English and culturally sensitive to the needs of the Latinx community

● Salary Range: Starting at $60,000 with commensurate experience
