Latitude Legal is Hiring a Business Development and Marketing Specialist Near Atlanta, GA

Latitude is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Business Development/Marketing Specialist to join a prominent plaintiff’s personal injury law firm in Atlanta. This role is essential for driving the firm's business growth and maintaining strong relationships with referral sources. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and possess a proactive approach to managing business development and marketing activities. The successful candidate will have skills and aptitude that combine excellent organizational skills with an understanding of marketing and business development principals and ability to provide creative input. The candidate must have the confidence to "manage up" across the partnership and be nimble with their time and priorities. There is room to grow and contribute in this role.
Responsibilities of the Business Development/Marketing Specialist:
  • Referral Management: Maintain a comprehensive list of all incoming referrals from calls, texts, emails, etc. Track the source of each referral and document the outcome (cases taken, rejected, or referred out). This helps direct future business and marketing efforts.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain a list of contacts and “touches” with top referral sources. Regularly follow up with Partners and other firm lawyers to ensure close relationships are maintained. Record interactions such as lunches, events, mailings, or calls to strategically manage business relationships.
  • Event Coordination: Manage the use of the Firm’s tickets to Braves, Falcons, and UGA home games. Ensure a Partner or other lawyer is assigned to each event and invites business prospects, optimizing the use of firm resources.
  • Social Media and Website Management: Generate regular posts for the Firm’s social media sites, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. Upload new content to the Firm’s website periodically with assistance from the Firm’s web vendor.
  • Business Development Coaching: Meet regularly with each Partner to act as a business development coach. Assist with scheduling business lunches, meetings, golf outings, etc., with key existing and prospective referral sources.
  • Creative Marketing Efforts: Develop and propose creative ideas for Firm marketing initiatives, with appropriate oversight and approval.
  • Client Relationship Management: Create and maintain a contact list of former clients. Organize and manage client information to maintain relationships through periodic emails or newsletters.
  • Conference and Seminar Tracking: Maintain a list of annual conferences and seminars for potential attendance. Encourage and track attendance, and follow up with attendees to manage new and old contacts.
Requirements of the Business Development/Marketing Specialist:
  • Proven experience in business development and marketing within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
