Latitude is Hiring a Remote Electrical Engineer (Partially Remote)

This position allows for 1-2 days per week remote / work from home.
Salary: $110,000 - 150,000/year
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in MEP design and proficiency in Revit to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead the electrical design process, from conceptualization to construction documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements. This role requires strong technical abilities, project management skills, and a collaborative approach to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the electrical design process for MEP projects, including power distribution, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated MEP design solutions that meet project objectives and client expectations
  • Utilize Revit software to create detailed electrical drawings, models, and documentation in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
  • Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit analysis to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions, coordinate with contractors, and resolve technical issues during the construction phase
  • Review and provide feedback on drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with design intent and project requirements
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on MEP design principles, Revit best practices, and industry trends
  • Stay informed about advancements in electrical engineering technology, codes, and regulations to incorporate best practices into project designs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on MEP design for building projects
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP software, with demonstrated experience in creating electrical models and drawings
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, including power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems
  • Familiarity with building codes, standards, and regulations related to electrical engineering (NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.)
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with project teams and clients
