Responsibilities:
Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for electrical systems.
Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into building designs.
Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and documentation for compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on building systems design.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and electrical design software.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus.
