We are looking for a skilled and experienced Security Technician to join our team. As a Security Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security systems and equipment.
Duties
- Traveling around the Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia area to client's facilities.
- Install and maintain surveillance cameras and closed caption TV's.
- Traveling to government facilities to maintain IT systems.
- Install security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, burglar alarms, and other security devices.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of security equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with security systems, including hardware and software problems.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of security systems to verify functionality and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients and end-users regarding security system operation and maintenance.
- Ensure installations and maintenance adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards
Requirements
- Secret Clearance is required (do not apply if you do not have one)
- Have to use your own car for travel (gas reimbursement).
- Install various security systems is required.
- Proven experience as a Security Technician or similar role in installing and maintaining security systems.
- Experience with specific brands or manufacturers of security equipment.
- Familiarity with electronic security system integration.
- Field-based role, requiring travel to client sites.
