RESPONSIBILITY

It is the responsibility of the Tool Maker to efficiently use company assets to produce quality fixtures in a controlled environment for the use in making quality parts.

It is the responsibility of the Tool Maker to review prints or instructions, lay out metal stock, set up and operate Bridgeports and Hand Lathes, and make, fit and assemble a variety of tight-tolerance fixtures.

DUTIES:

• Repair parts as needed.
• Make fixtures to prints or verbal instructions.
• Repair or improve gauging.
• Manufacturer parts as needed.
• Duties not necessarily indicated above which arise within operations will accordingly be included in this position, in addition to special assignments from Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong knowledge of machining, materials, heat treat, plating and plating allowances.
• Ability to run the following machines: Bridgeports, hand lathes, engine lathes and all necessary inspection equipment.
• Must be professional, possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to handle multiple projects with proper time management. Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the company.
• Work requires continuous attention to detail.

· Physical activity including bending, reaching, walking, standing, and lifting.

Starting wage is based on position, experience, and mechanical abilities.

Salary: Up to $24.00 - $32.00 based on experience
