LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is Hiring a Project Accountant Near Wichita, KS

LAUNCH is a leading aviation staffing company that is seeking a Project Accountant to join their team in Wichita, Kansas. The accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing of projects including invoicing, labor and inventory reconciliation in adherence with commercial contracts. This role also includes reviewing invoices from vendors and resolving discrepancies.This position works with directly with the Teams operations in Wichita and reports to the Controller in Oak Brook, Illinois.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure accurate and on time weekly billing
  • Enter journal entries into Business Central accounting system
  • Review and enter revenue reconciliation and labor distribution
  • Labor cost analysis to ensure headcount meets demand
  • Weekly analysis of job profitability to plan
  • Review spend request to budget and notify key players on out of budget spend
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for site, including, reconciliation of capital expenditures
  • Audit vendor invoices against quotes to ensure consistent pricing & all billable charges are billed out
  • Work with client and our internal team to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain inventory records and perform weekly reconciliations
  • Provide customers with statements of account
  • Follow up on overdue balances

MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 21 years of age

Associates degree in accounting/finance a plus

3 - 5 years of relevant experience working in accounting or bookkeeping

Experience in an MRO or Aviation Environment preferred

Prior experience invoicing/bookkeeping experience preferred

Proficient skills in ERP system preferred

Strong proficiency in Excel (vlookups and pivot tables)
