Job Description:

Position Summary: The Senior HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting the HR department and the overall organization by providing comprehensive HR services and support to employees and management. Reporting to the HR Manager, the Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for various HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training and development, compliance, and HR policy implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions to resolve workplace issues.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture by fostering open communication and addressing employee concerns effectively.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and making job offers.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop strategies to attract top talent.
  • Performance Management:
  • Administer performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance improvement strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for employee development and career advancement.
  • Training and Development:
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Coordinate training sessions and workshops, both internally and externally, to support employee development initiatives.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and industry trends.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a senior HR role.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
