LaunchCode is Hiring a Business Development Representative Near St Louis, MO

Brief DescriptionBusiness Development Representative at LaunchCode connects talent to opportunity by developing and executing outreach efforts to identify prospective clients. They will be a LaunchCode evangelist, articulating the value of LaunchCode to new leads. They work strategically with our company team to find new customers that fit the LaunchCode ecosystem. As the first line of contact, they are able to understand the diverse business needs of our customers. They’re quick on their feet and an expert in selling the value of non-traditional entry-level tech talent. They use their convincing personality and passion to win opportunities and close business.
This is a full-time, salaried position reporting directly to Chief Commercial Officer, and requires up to 20% travel. This position will not directly manage people. The full compensation range for this position is between $57,200 - $80,900 with annual on-target earnings between $71,500 - $101,125. This is a hybrid position working both in-person at our St. Louis office and remote, with a schedule that may adjust for personal or family responsibilities and honor a work-life balance.
Role Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed business development goals for regional small to large accounts by prospecting, qualifying, nurturing, and closing new business. Generate leads through B2B marketing, cold calling, networking, referrals, and other prospecting methods.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with company technology leaders to help them understand the value of skills-based hiring for entry-level tech roles and tailor engagement opportunities that provide mutual benefits
  • Consult on and support marketing of the need for entry-level tech pipeline to small to large companies and high-potential start-ups
  • Track, measure, document, and communicate funnel activity in CRM, generating reports that show the success of your outreach efforts
  • Collaborate with other members of the sales function (aka the Company Team) to share business development and account management best practices, and continuously provide feedback to leadership to improve team processes
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • A deep commitment to our mission and values, and a passion for transforming the technology and workforce development/education sectors
  • 1 years of experience in B2B full lifecycle sales
  • A verifiable history of meeting and exceeding sales targets in B2B sales
  • Effective consultative sales skills through relationship building and strategic influence
  • Dynamic communication skills both written and verbal, and in-person and virtual
  • Must be equally comfortable working on a team and independently
Nice to haves
  • Experience with selling to employers hiring bootcamp/ non-traditional tech education grads.
  • Experience in B2B full lifecycle sales and/or account management within IT staffing, IT consulting, or IT staff augmentation industries
  • An established book of business encompassing SMB organizations in the Midwest
