Job Title: Personal Injury Case Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Personal Injury Case Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal injury cases, ensuring that each case progresses smoothly from intake through resolution. The Case Manager will work closely with attorneys, clients, medical providers, and insurance companies to facilitate communication and gather necessary documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Case Management:

  • Handle a caseload of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip and falls, and other injury claims.
  • Conduct initial client intakes, gather pertinent information, and assess case viability.
  • Maintain detailed and organized case files, including medical records, police reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure timely completion of tasks and deadlines.

Client Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on case status.
  • Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Offer support and empathy to clients, addressing their concerns and providing guidance throughout the process.

Documentation and Evidence Gathering:

  • Obtain and review medical records, bills, and other evidence related to the case.
  • Coordinate with medical providers to secure necessary treatment records and reports.
  • Prepare and submit demand packages to insurance companies.

Insurance and Legal Coordination:

  • Communicate with insurance adjusters to negotiate settlements and resolve claims.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing cases for litigation, including drafting correspondence and legal documents.
  • Schedule and coordinate medical appointments, depositions, and other case-related activities.
  • Open insurance claims, assist clients in the completion of Property Damage, i.e. scheduling inspections.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes in the case management system.
  • Prepare and manage case calendars and deadlines.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury case management or related field.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and personal injury law.
  • Experience in a law firm setting preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
